The Quick Hit Pro slot continues the ‘quick hit’ concept featured in a number of slots produced by Bally Technologies. Some of the other titles in the series include the brands flagship slot – Quick Hit Platinum, as well as “Black Gold“, “Las Vegas” and “Cash Wheel” versions of the game.

This slot looks good despite not featuring the cinematic graphics seen in many games. The background features a cascading mix of dark blues and the symbols are a nice combination of colours, giving the slot a busy and dynamic feel, especially as a number of the symbols have some animation when forming a win line. The background sound accompanying the spins has an electronic feel, which works for this particular slot.

There are a number of features here, including the stacked wilds, the quick hit and the Prochinko free games, so there’s enough to keep you busy at all times.

This is a 5 reel slot with four symbols showing on each reel, something seen at many Bally slots, but unique for the ‘quick hit’ series. The slot has 40 different win lines and all wins are awarded when landing at least 3 symbols in a row from left to right on a win line. The minimum stake at this slot is just 1c per line and the maximum is $10 per line. The game has an auto play button, where the game will run automatically for up to 25 spins (in increments of 5) and you’ll also find an info button (pays and rules) as well as a mute button.

The best symbol in the game is the wild one, which is stacked. Obviously being wild it will substitute for other symbols to give additional wins, but you’ll also win 1,000x your coin size if landing 5 in a row on a win line. The ‘quick hit pro’ pays 250x alongside the bells and the cherries. The other standard symbols in the game are the playing cards from 9 through to Ace.

The ‘Quick Hit Pro’ symbol also acts as a scatter symbol, though not in the traditional sense where you’ll land three and activate a feature. Here you can land more than one on each reel and the more of these symbols you land on a spin the more you’ll win. Four of the symbols will pay you back your total spin amount and landing five will pay you 5x your spin amount, however these numbers quickly become huge. If you see 11 or more of the symbols across all the reels you’ll win 1,500x your total spin amount.

As well as the quick hits there is a free game feature which is activated when landing the ‘free games’ symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4.

During the standard game, there is an opportunity to earn extra wilds alongside those already on the reels. This occurs when the ‘compass’ directional wild symbol appears. This symbol will spin and the arrow will point in one of eight directions and any symbols in line with the arrow will now also turn wild, as well as the directional wild symbol itself. This could mean an entire reel or row of symbols could turn wild – for example, when the directional wild symbol appears on the top row and points downwards, or on reels 1 or 5 and points to the right or to the left.

The wilds also feature heavily in the free games round. You’ll enter this round when the ‘free games’ symbol lands on reels 2, 3 and 4. You’ll earn 5 free spins, however they work slightly differently to the normal games. Should the directional wild symbol appear, any symbols it now turns wild will now stay wild throughout the entire feature (the female wild will now have a yellow background as opposed to the standard brown colour). The directional wild symbol itself however will still become the standard brown backed wild symbol. Of course the fact that you’ll have potentially multiple locked wilds will lead to many more wins at the slot in the free games.

This is an interesting slot, without really setting the world alight. The wilds in this game are what set it apart from others, with a nice original take on the feature in the standard game which is only enhanced when the free games come around. This is a low variance slot, so you’ll enjoy a large number of smaller wins without having to wait too long to achieve them, although the free games feature does take longer to hit as the scatter symbol only appears on 3 as opposed to 5 reels.

Personally, I wouldn’t place this slot by Bally in my top 10 free online casino games, but I’d probably play it occasionally as a ‘quick ten minute pop-in game’.
